The story of mputle creations

In 1991 the late Minah Mputle; a former domestic worker, decided to employ her passion and started making cushions for specific interior designers as a means of making extra money. With the impeccable quality of Minah’s work coupled with the mentorship of seasoned interior designers such as Ronnie Wilkins; what started off as a side hustle soon became a thriving business and word went around the interior design circles that Minah Mputle was the go-to person for the highest quality cushions and other soft furnishings.

By the year 2 000 Mputle Creations had been incorporated as a fully fledged company and began employing more people. Mputle Creations has grown to include the manufacturing of bespoke furniture pieces; in addition to soft furnishings, maintaining the unparalleled levels of quality that our clients had become accustomed to.

We have also included a projects team to handle big project orders as well.

When designing our logo, Minah Mputle decided to honour the days of humble beginnings and the sewing machine on our logo represents that one machine where the whole journey started; the machine that built it all and on whose back Mputle Creations has grown to be the trusted and loved service provider that it is today.

Mputle Creations is now in the hands of the second generation; under the watchful eye of Thabo Mputle. Minah Mputle passed on the baton and we have made sure her DNA of impeccable quality; extra personal touch; attention to the tiniest of details and passionate service delivery is our hallmarks till this very day.
